Batu Pahat Taxi

This week’s picture was taken at Batu Bahat, a small town in the southern state of Johor, Malaysia. A familiar sight among the locals as rows of taxis queue in front of the main bus terminal for customers.

When taking a taxi in Malaysia, you have the right to check the driver’s ID, request the driver to use your preferred route, insist on using the meter, getting a receipt at the end of the journey and you can refuse multiple hiring.
